Water Babies
Hilton-Parma Recreation offers the opportunity to play with a child in the water while learning the basic fundamentals of swimming. The Tiny Tot Swim program is run by a Red Cross certified swim instructor, and offers a child a chance to practice breathing, kicking and floating. For children ages 1-6, along with an adult for each child, this program allows youngsters to overcome any fear of the water while providing Mom or Dad a chance for structured play time.

Two sessions of Tiny Tot Swim will be offered this summer at the Merton Williams Junior High School pool. Session I runs from July 9-July 20, and Session II will be held from July 23-August 3, 12:15 to 1 p.m. $20 per child. Class size is limited.

Gymnastics
A Junior Gymnastics program for all youth ages 9-12 is designed to accommodate the beginner gymnast through the more advanced gymnast. New skills will be developed and existing skills improved, as participants focus on strengthening and flexibility exercises, tumbling routines and utilizing the balance beam and horizontal bars.

This class will be held at the Hilton Village Community Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, July 9. The cost for the six 1-1/2 hour sessions is $30 per participant. All gymnasts are asked to bring a snack and a drink, and registration can be completed at the Recreation Office at 59 Henry Street in Hilton. Call 392-9030 for information on these programs.
