Churchville Lion nominated to international post
John Rabideau, a 26-year member of the Churchville Lions Club, was recently endorsed by the Lions of New York State and Bermuda, to be their candidate for international director. Rabideau was endorsed at the New York State and Bermuda Lions Convention in Saratoga Springs, April 27-29. Rabideau will be elected to the International Board of Directors of Lions Clubs International in Osaka, Japan in July 2002.
Lion Rabideau has served the Churchville Lions Club in many positions, including club president and secretary. Rabideau served as district governor for district 20-E1 in 1990-1991, and multiple district council chair in 1991-1992. He is the recipient of many awards and recognitions, including the Melvin Jones Fellowship, named in honor of the founder of Lionism.
Rabideau is president of the Boughner-Rabideau Agency in North Chili. He and his wife, Bernie, reside in Churchville.
