The Monroe County Fair and Recreation Association announces an expanded Heritage Village for the upcoming fair which runs August 1-5 at the fairgrounds in Henrietta. Begun last year, this festival within the fair focuses on the many cultures that have settled in Monroe County bringing with them their rich traditions, foods and music. Heritage Village brings them all together in a week long celebration of the community's diversity. The Fair Association has moved this venue to the front of the fairgrounds giving Heritage Village a featured position at the fair.

Theme days in Heritage Village include American Heritage Showcase (August 1), Festa Italiana (August 2), International Celebration (August 3), Celtic Day (August 4), and Pan African/Caribbean Day (August 5). The venue features foods, activities and entertainment which celebrate the ethnic communities that are represented on these days.
