Holley Student Council fundraising reaches far and wide
Each year, the Holley Middle School Student Council raises money through various activities throughout the school year, such as school dances. This year, students were able to raise $3,000 to benefit not only their school and the community, but the far reaches of the globe. At school, the students set aside money to purchase books for the school library and purchased the end-of-year awards for the Middle School awards assembly. Locally, donations were made to the ARC of Orleans County, Special Olympics and the Rochester Ronald McDonald House. For its worldwide donation, the group purchased six acres of rainforest, and purchased 100 trees help reforest America.
