Area sewers are invited to the ABC Quilts Bee Saturday, August 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at United Methodist Church of North Chili, 2200 Westside Drive at Buffalo Road. The focus of the bee is to finish at least 30 quilts for display at the church's annual Quilt Show September 14 and 15 before distribution to Strong Hospital for HIV-positive and other at-risk area children.

Sewers may bring their machine and basic sewing supplies; or just themselves and a pair of scissors. They're welcome to stay an hour or for the morning. No quilting experience is needed to help make ABC Quilts. Donations of cotton fabric in light, bright colors and/or cash for bulk batting purchase are appreciated.
