Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Museum
hosts book signing/art show
The Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Historical Society will host a book signing of author Janet Winn Korpela's book "Ira Winn: Lighthouse Pioneer" on Saturday, August 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Museum. Korpela, granddaughter of Ira Winn, uses hand written accounts to tell of her grandfather's contributions in the building of early American lighthouses.
The Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Historical Society will also host "The Lighthouse and Its Environs" maritime art show and sale on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. both days at the museum. Come and see paintings, photographs, prints, drawings and sculptures showcasing lighthouses and their maritime environments.
