Agnes M. Seneway appointed to Hilton Board of Education
The Hilton Central School District Board of Education has appointed Agnes M. Seneway, 36 East Wautoma Beach, Hilton, to fill the position on the board vacated by the resignation of Dr. James Giordano. Dr. Giordano was elected at the annual Board Election in May and resigned his seat effective July 3, 2001. Ms. Seneway, a retired teacher in the Hilton School District, will assume the position at the board's September 11 meeting and serve until the annual board election in May 2002.
The other applicants for the position were: Timothy F. Gagnon, 21 Klafehn Drive, Hilton; James A. Lee, 483 Huffer Road, Parma; and Margaret Pettis, 1188 Manitou Road, Greece.
Seneway, a doctoral candidate in Teaching and Curriculum at the University of Rochester, taught in the Hilton School District for 29 years. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hilton Federal Credit Union and served in administrative position for the district as well as the Hilton Teachers' Association.
