The Clarkson Historical Society will sponsor a "Historic House" walking tour to be held during the Clarkson Good Neighbor Festival on Saturday, September 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. All the structures are located within walking distance scattered throughout the Clarkson Historical Overlay District.

Many of the homes date back to the early 1800s. Architectural details such as beams, plank floors, fireplaces and pocket doors will be explained as will antiques and decorating styles although the emphasis will not be on furnishings, but rather, the ups and downs of owning an old house (with maybe a ghost or two).

Tickets in advance are: members $7, non-members $8 and can be purchased by calling Bonnie Howlett, 964-2551. Day of tour, tickets will be $10 and will be available at the festival grounds.
