The dedication of the Ogden Skate Park to Peter Bacher, a Rotarian who initiated the project before his untimely death in December 1999, will be held Sunday, August 26. The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. followed by free food and beverages, compliments of Spencerport's Krony's Pizza and Barefoot Beverage.

Some of the skate team members from Shifty's and Krudco skate stores will also be available after the ceremony. Winning tickets for the skate equipment donation by Shifty's will also be drawn at the grand opening party. Committee members report they are working on their last couple of pieces of equipment and trying to raise the last $5,000 to reach their goal.
