Square Dance open house
The Country Twirlers Square Dance Club will begin its 42nd year of dancing in the Gates-Chili area at Washington Irving School, 2400 Chili Avenue on Saturday, September 8. Square dancing combines good fellowship and simple exercise into an evening of fun and "Friendship Set To Music" at a very reasonable cost, according to members of the group.
The club officers are: President - Ken and Kay Gorger of Gates; Vice President - Bernie and Denise Heroux of Greece; Secretary - Ann and Bill Uebelacker, Treasurer - Ed and Marge Blake and Publicity/Social Chair - Bill and Edith Thomas, all from Chili. The club dances almost every Saturday from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at Washington Irving School.
Those interested in observing, or who would like to try this couples' activity are invited to a free open house on Tuesday, September 25 and/or October 2 at Henrietta Fire Co. #1 at East Henrietta and Lehigh Station Road from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Country Twirlers club caller Gary Bubel will be calling and those who attend will be square dancing by the end of the evening - no experience is required.
For information call Ken or Kay Gorger, 247-7259.
