Kevin Gray was named to the dean's list of Duquesne University's A.J. Palumbo School of Business for the spring 2001 semester.

Gray is a 2000 graduate of Churchville-Chili Senior High School and the son of Mike and Cindee Gray of Ogden.


Andrew Rutter, of Spencerport, graduated July 26 from Bucknell University with a bachelor of science degree in biology.

The son of Phyllis and William Rutter, Spencerport, he is a graduate of Spencerport High School. While at Bucknell, he was a dean's list student and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.


Janise Beguhl of Shipshape Organizing has been named Organizer of the Month for August by OnlineOrganizing.com. Beguhl specializes in helping people organize their homes, offices and lives. She works with people to clear out the clutter, make places for things, and create systems to help them stay organized.


Kenneth Beal is the newest member of the Lakeside Beikirch Care Center board of directors.

Beal, of Hilton, who has a family member in the Care Center, said he is happy to be contributing his time to such a worthy facility. "I think people who live in the community have a responsibility to help out," he said. "Volunteerism is essential in our society." Beal said different viewpoints are always needed when decisions need to be made. "Even with my limited experience, the Care Center appears to be well run," he said. A retired employee of the Monroe #1 BOCES, Beal has also worked as a data manager at Pre-Trial Services and at Eastman Kodak as a project manager. He also served as an elected official on the Hilton village and zoning boards.


Rachael Shevlin, of Clarkson-Parma Townline Road, Hilton, graduated cum laude from SUNY Albany in May 2001. The psychology major works as a customer service representative in Buffalo and plans to go back to school in a year to become a teacher.

She is the daughter of Mike and Dot Shevlin.

Rachel Gallagher, daughter of Kevin and Diana Gallagher of Spencerport, has been named to the spring 2001 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Gallagher, a sophomore, is a history major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.3 grade-point average for the semester.


Heidi Kozireski, a resident of the town of Ogden, will join the Board of Directors of the Rochester International Council for a two year term beginning in September.

A 1981 graduate of Spencerport High School, Kozireski is currently the Assistant Director of the Center for Study Abroad and Interdepartmental Programs at the University of Rochester. She is an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Other community involvement includes being a member of the German Choir and the Church Council of the Reformation Lutheran Church in Rochester, as well as serving as an occasional show host on the German Radio Program and as a member of the Program Committee.

Kozireski was previously involved with RIC in the Friendship Volunteer Program. The Rochester International Council, a nonprofit organization serving the Rochester community for more than 40 years, works to promote understanding among people and showcase the richness and diversity of other cultures.


Army Reserve Pvt. Gary M. Comardo has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Missouri.

He is the son of Gary L. and Linda G. Comardo of Huffer Road, Hilton and a 2000 graduate of Hilton High School.
