New this year, SUNY Brockport's Homecoming and Family Weekend will include a 5K run/walk at the campus on Sunday, September 23, at 10 a.m.

Registration is $10 for the public, $5 for faculty, staff and alumni of the college, and $3 for students. After September 15 and on the day of the race, registration fees are $15 for the public, $10 for faculty, staff and alumni of the college, and $5 for students. The minimum age for race participants is nine years.

Proceeds from registration fees will benefit the SUNY Brockport College Fund, which helps students in need of immediate financial support continue their education.

Highlights from Homecoming & Family Weekend include: SUNY Brockport Student Government Fall Carnival - Friday, September 21, 4-11 p.m.; Homecoming parade through Village of Brockport - Saturday, September 22, noon; Community Children's Fest - Saturday, September 22, noon-3 p.m.; Football game: Golden Eagles vs. Frostburg Bobcats - Saturday, September 22, 1:30 p.m.; Comedian Jon Stewart (of the Daily Show) - Saturday, September 22, 8 p.m.; and 5K Run/Walk - Sunday, September 23, 10 a.m.
