Volunteers needed for child advocate group
CASA is looking for bright, caring individuals who would like to make a difference in a child's life. CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate, trains volunteers to work with children who have been neglected or abused and are in foster care or at risk of being placed in foster care. The Family Court Judge appoints CASA to investigate all aspects of the child's life and report back to the court and all parties. The CASA volunteer's goal is to reduce the stress the child feels while in the system and help secure a safe, permanent home for the child as soon as possible.
People interested should call the CASA office during business hours: 716 428-5297.
