The Churchville-Chili Service Unit of the Salvation Army sent six children to camp this past summer. Long Point Camp in Penn Yan has been operated by the Salvation Army since 1953 and expected 1,400 children this past summer.

Two children came from St. Christopher's in North Chili, two from Parma Corners and one from Pearce Memorial in North Chili. One child also attended last year. The unit also gave out two scholarships to Churchville-Chili Seniors based on academic performance and entering the human service field.
