Dr. Thomas Lickona presents a free talk, "Raising Children of Character: What Parents and Community Can Do," Thursday, October 4 at the Cosgrove Middle School auditorium, 2749 Spencerport Road from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dr. Lickona is the director of the Center for the 4th and 5th Rs (Respect and Responsibility) which serves as a regional, state and national resource in character education. Character education holds that there are universally important ethical principles such as respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, honesty, tolerance, self-control and diligence.
