Monroe County's Surplus Vehicle and Equipment Auction will be held this Saturday, October 6. Through the coop-erative efforts of 50 municipalities and 20 local businesses, the county will auction heavy equipment, tools, cars and trucks beginning at 9 a.m. at the Gates-Chili- Ogden Facility (GCO), 145 Paul Road off Scottsville Road.

"This cooperative effort between the county and local municipalities is a tangible example of how government can work together to share expenses and reduce costs for the taxpayers," said Doyle. "Our surplus vehicle and equipment auction grows every year and underscores Monroe County's commitment to partnerships and intergovernmental cooperation."

Full settlement for equipment and vehicles is required the day of the event. All items purchased must be removed from the auction site by Wednesday, October 10 at 3 p.m.
