Spencerport area responds - Cindy Ritchie (center), Dave Ritchie (right), owners of Ritchie Family Hardware, and frequent customer Rick Ziegler (left) are shown with the box containing work gloves for rescue workers at Ground Zero in New York City. For a $5 sponsor fee, gloves can be signed with your message of encouragement. They are then shipped to New York City with postage being provided by Spencerport Postmaster Bill Conley. On the first day of the effort, 55 pairs were sent to New York City. All glove sponsor money will be donated to the Relief Fund. Gloves are still available for sponsorship at Family Hardware, Spencerport Insurance, and Tom & Nancy's Pizza. The goal is 250 pairs.
