Volunteers to care for Erie Canalway Trail
Monroe County residents and civic groups are invited to help clean-up and inspect the Erie Canalway Trail on Saturday, October 20, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Participants will then walk or bicycle east or west along the Canalway Trail, making notes of the Canalway features, the present condition of the Trail, and any ideas they have for Trail improvements, As they return to the start locations, the volunteers will pick up litter which may have accumulated during the summer and autumn. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather. This "Sweep and Survey" event is only for volunteers 12 years and older. No dogs. Walk-ins and bike-ins are encouraged to join this grassroots effort to improve the Canalway Trail.
