Passport services come to town halls
New customer service enhancements to the County Clerk Mobile Units will bring passport service to 10 town halls across Monroe County. Customers will now be able to apply for a United States Passport, and for an extra fee have their passport photos taken, at town halls ser-viced by the Monroe County Clerk's Mobile Units.
This is the first time that the Mobile Units have branched out beyond DMV services. The Monroe County Clerk's Office acts as an agent for both the United States Department of State and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. In addition to the 10 Town Halls visited by the Mobile Unit, customers wishing to apply for a passport may do so at the County Office Building and the three suburban Auto License Bureau Branch Offices in Greece, Irondequoit and Henrietta.
The Mobile Units visit two town halls each day of the week and are open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The westside schedule is: Monday, Parma Town Hall; Tuesday, Chili Town Hall; Wednesday, Ogden Town Hall; Thursday, Clarkson Town Court; and Friday, Gates Town Hall.
