The Monroe County Buttonwood 4-H Club held their annual Awards Banquet at the Hilton-Parma VFW on Peck Road in Hilton on October 21.

Most awards are based on results from the Monroe County Fair 4-H shows. Some highlights of the banquet were as follows:

•Dairy-Grand Champion Master Showman - Patrick Ellsworth of Hilton

•Goats - Grand Champion Showman - Jamie Chase of Rush

•Beef - Grand Champion Showman - Brian DeConinck of Spencerport

•4-H Helping Hands Award - Jr. Member: David Hull of Spencerport; Sr. Member: Jessica Sweeney of Hilton

•Wyatt Zuber Outstanding Showmanship Award - Patrick Ellsworth of Hilton. This award was donated by the Monroe County Holstein Club in memory of 21 year old Wyatt Zuber who was killed in a farm accident earlier this year. Wyatt was a great, generous young person who had helped out the 4-H Club the past three years and had also judged at the Monroe County Fair the past three years. He will be greatly missed by all.
