Scott Haug, owner of the Isshin Ryu Karate Academy of Hamlin, competed in the 11th annual International Federation of Karate Full Contact Karate tournament on October 13 along with two of his students. Scott Haug won the middleweight knockdown division, which uses no pads in full contact fighting. Bambai Rocco also won in the full contact women's division, and Jordan Diaz placed third in kata competition. The competition was held at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center and had competitors from all over the United States and Canada.
