Hilton School District voters go to polls Dec. 4
Hilton Central School District residents will be going to the polls Tuesday, December 4 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. to decide on a $57.9 million Capital Project bond which will have a major impact on the district's five schools' instructional programs, safety and security as well as parking and traffic around all schools.
The Capital Project Bond Vote is the result of over 18 months of deliberations by the Board of Education's Long Range Planning Committee. Superintendent of Schools John Cooper and Assistant Superintendent for Business Steve Ayers have presented the details of the project at over 35 community presentations reaching an estimated 1,250 people. "We've worked very hard to answer all questions people may have," Ayers said, "and to ensure a great voter turnout."
All residents wishing to vote must be registered voters, either with Monroe County Board of Elections or with the district. No proof of residency is required at the time of the vote. Polls are located at the West Avenue/Quest School, 225 West Avenue, Hilton, for all Parma, Clarkson and Hamlin residents and the Northwood Elementary School, 433 North Greece Road, Greece for all Greece residents. For all voter questions, call the Board of Education clerk at 392-1000 ext. 7099.
