The December meeting of the Clarkson Historical Society will be held Wednesday, December 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This month's meeting will be held in the Duryea Room of the Seymour Library. The community is welcome to attend.

It has become a tradition to decorate a Heritage Christmas Tree at the December meeting. All members and guests bring a symbolic ornament, either handmade or purchased. As part of the meeting, reflections about the ornament and why it was chosen are shared. These comments are also recorded in the official Heritage Christmas Tree book. The stories behind the ornaments are as important as the ornaments themselves. The tree, with ornaments from previous years, will be on display at the Seymour Library during December.
