New district scout leaders named
District Chairman Donald G. Bennett of Greece announced the appointment of five Scouters to chair committees in the Northern Lights District organization.
To head up the Scouting activity areas in the western Monroe County area are the following: Geoffrey Malak of Greece, an Associate with AVI Food service, will serve as Program chair. He has previously served in leadership roles in Klondike Derbies and Cub-Parent Weekends, and as Scoutmaster and Unit Commissioner.
James Fallon of Brockport, Superintendent of the Brockport Central School District, will serve as Membership chair, heading activities designed to increase the number of boys in the packs, troops and crews in the area.
Douglas Hall of Greece, manager of the J. P. Morgan Chase branch office on East Henrietta Road, and Scoutmaster of St. Mark's Church troop, now serves as chair of the district's Finance committee.
Sean Glenney of Whirlwind Music Distributors, Scoutmaster of Chili First Presbyterian Church troop and an EMT, chairs the Family Friends of Scouting enrollment effort.
Mary Vogler of Greece, a 30-year Scouting veteran and currently serving as a Unit Commissioner, will also head the district's Project Sales committee.
Northern Lights District serves youth in all Monroe County towns west of the Genesee and the Charlotte area of Rochester.
