Lynn Sorel had 15 kills while Kristi Rath and Danielle LeBeau combined for 45 digs as the Brockport Blue Devils defeated Gates Chili 25-30, 30-28, 30-22, 30-24, December 6.

After dropping the first game, first year head coach Jen Glasheen "changed the lineup. The middle for Gates Chili was giving us some trouble and the girls were not comfortable so we changed things around."

Game two featured eleven ties, the final one at 28-28 before Brockport scored the last two, including an ace by LeBeau, to win. Game three had Brockport leading 12-9 before going on a 5-1 run to pull ahead. The Blue Devils scored the final four points of game four to put away the match.

Kim Demmans dished out 39 assists while Chris Arieno played a balanced match with 12 kills and 15 digs. Brockport improved to 3-1, 2-1 for the young season.
