Spencerport Central Schools will be hosting the 5th annual Coaches vs. Cancer Boys Basketball Tournament on December 27 and 28 at Nazareth College.

This year's tournament features local powers Fairport and defending champions Palmyra-Macedon, along with host Spencerport and Section VI power Lockport.

Games on Tuesday, December 27 feature Palmyra Macedon vs Fairport at 5:15 p.m. followed by Lockport vs. Fairport at 7 p.m. The Wednesday, December 28, consolation game is at 5:15 p.m. and the championship game is at 7 p.m.

All proceeds from this tournament are directed to the American Cancer Society in the name of Coaches vs. Cancer. Coaches vs. Cancer is affiliated with the National Association of Basketball Coaches and was formed to honor the late Jim Valvano, basketball coach and ESPN announcer who passed away from cancer.

A donation of $7,500 was given to the American Cancer Society from last year's tournament, making a four-year total of $16,000.
