After going 10-0 in preliminary play, the Brockport Blue Devils lost in the first round of the playoffs to Gates Chili in the 12-team Churchville-Chili Volleyball Tournament December 28.

The Blue Devils polished off Hilton, Pittsford-Sutherland, Churchville-Chili, Webster and East Rochester in Pool B play to earn the right to play the Spartans in the first round of the playoffs. Gates Chili won 30-27 before Brockport defeated Sutherland 30-24 in the third place game.

Spencerport finished with a 7-3 record - good for third in Pool A play, but lost on a tiebreaker to the Spartans. Hilton was 4-6, fourth in Pool B and the Saints finished 3-7 winning three of their final four games to wrap up Pool B play 3-7.

Brockport senior setter Kim Demmans was named to the All-Tournament team.
