Several Brockport students received Scholar Athlete Awards from the New York State Professional High School Athletic Association for the fall 2001 season.

Girls' cross-country team members who received the award are: Irene Vickner, Bethany Hawke, Renee VanHooft, Julia Little, Whitney Dupra, Tory Spencer, Adrienne Barnhart, Liza Norment and Mary Stoughton.

Award winners from the girls' swimming team are: Lia Daniels, Kris Judd, Lindsay Humphreys, Meredith Lewis, Danielle LeBeau, Janel Stepanek, Natalie Smith, Kris Veltz, Shelby Clark, Stacy Krens, Jayna Garske, Arianna Hill, Brianna Sieber, Andrea Leasure and Rachel Noel.

Scholar Athletes from the girl's tennis team are: Sierra Burroughs, Kara Hage, Jamie Duff, Denise Vandersal, Grace Kronenberg, Melissa Oaks, Emily Hamilton, Abigail Rhode, Kristin Hass, and Cassandra Webster.

Scholar Athletes from the boys' volleyball team are: Phil St. Amant, Chris Masiello, Caleb Dickson, Josh Arnold, Mike Bartnick, Eric Hart, Devin Hogan, Andy Parrino and Josh Dickson.

This award is presented for academic excellence while participating in varsity level interscholastic athletics. All students must maintain an average of 90 or above. The athletes received a pin and the team received a Certificate of Academic Achievement.
