Seminar on alcohol & beverage control law
The Monroe County Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit will present a seminar on the Fundamentals of Alcohol and Intoxication Recognition (F.A.I.R.) during a special educational program for the sellers and servers of alcoholic beverages.
Legal issues will also be covered addressing how to limit law suits from Dram Shop litigation through the use of written documentation and policies. Attendees will also be given an overview of the physical effects of alcohol on the body.
The free presentations will be given by uniformed deputies of the Monroe County Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit. To register for a class given at the Police and Fire Academy at 1190 Scottsville Road, call 428-5510.
Classes are scheduled Saturday, January 19, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (filled); Wednesday, March 13 - 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 11 - 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.; Wednesday, July 24 - 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.; Saturday, September 28 - 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.; Wednesday, November 13 - 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
