A Monroe County resident has been awarded a $500 "Educational Foundation Academic Distinction" scholarship to attend Alfred State College.

Jeremy Rath of Hamlin graduated in 2001 from Kendall Jr.-Sr. High School and intends to enroll in the architectural engineering technology program.

The award, based on scholastic achievement, is from the Educational Foundation of Alfred, Inc., according to Deborah Goodrich, director of admissions and enrollment management at Alfred State.


Jennifer L. Hedrick of Village Walk Circle, Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list for the fall quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology.

A third-year student in the College of Science, Hedrick is studying biological sciences. She is the daughter of Robert and Linda Hedrick of Spencerport and a 1999 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Abbey Perkins, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Perkins of Stony Point Road in Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list at Hamilton College for the fall 2001 semester.

A student is placed on the dean's list for earning an average of 90 or above during the term.

A senior majoring in American studies at Hamilton, Perkins is a graduate of Churchville-Chili Senior High School.


Andrea Palinski, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregg J. Palinski of Nichols Street in Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list at Hamilton College for the fall 2001 semester.

A student is placed on the dean's list for earning an average of 90 or above during the term.

A senior majoring in biology at Hamilton, Palinski is a graduate of Ellsworth J. Wilson Senior High School.


Colleen Fenity, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence E. Fenity of Maplewood Avenue in Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list at Hamilton College for the fall 2001 semester.

A student is placed on the dean's list for earning an average of 90 or above during the term.

A senior majoring in English at Hamilton, Fenity is a graduate of Ellsworth J. Wilson Senior High School.


Sara Edeiken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tracy S. Lincoln of Oriole Street in Rochester, has been named to the dean's list at Hamilton College for the fall 2001 semester.

A student is placed on the dean's list for earning an average of 90 or above during the term.

A junior majoring in biochemistry at Hamilton, Edeiken is a graduate of Hilton Central High School.


Patrick Hastings, Associate Broker in Nothnagle's Ogden-Chili office, finished up 2001's last quarter with dynamite sales and listings, earning seven major awards since October. He was named the Top Salesperson of the Month for October, November and December and the Top Lister of the Month for both September and October. The Greater Rochester Association of Realtors presented him with the Salesmaster Gold Award for 2001. Agents receive this award based on 60 or more closed transactions in a 12-month period. He earned the Women's Council of Realtors "Zenith Award" for 2001. His closed sales in the past 12 months are over $8,000,000.

Hastings is in his 24th year with Nothnagle Realtors. He is currently a member of Nothnagle's Top 25 Club, and has consistently been a Top Producer and Top Lister in the Ogden/Chili office since 1997. Pat served as manager of one of Nothnagles's local offices for five years.

The Churchville resident has served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors, and is a Notary Public.


Air Force Airman Laura A. Holmes has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and customs; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training and special training in human relations.

In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. She is the daughter of Donald Holmes of Wind Willow Way, Rochester and a 2001 graduate of Churchville-Chili Senior High School, Churchville.
