dominate USAG Sectional Bright Raven Gymnastics played host to the USA Gymnastics Level 6 Sectional January 13 where Bright Raven gymnasts took many of the top awards. In the 12 and over age division, Bright Raven Gymnasts swept the first three all around places. Twelve-year-old Julie Mingoea of Spencerport captured first all around (36.575) and also took first place three events: vaulting (9.30), balance beam (9.25) and floor exercise (9.425). The second place all around winner was Amanda Westcott (35.70) of Brockport. In the individual events, Amanda was first on the uneven bars (9.30) and third in floor exercise (9.15). Kim Golis of Churchville took third place all around (35.475) and finished second in floor exercise (9.20), and third on bars (9.05) and beam (8.975). Sara D'Angio of Pittsford was second on balance beam (9.10). Cori Earls of Henrietta was third in vault (8.90) and fifth all around (34.175). In the 10-11 age division, Megan Seuffert of Gates took second all around (35.125). In the individual events, Megan took first place on bars (9.25) and second place in floor exercise (9.125). |
