Director of Human Resources
named at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES
Kim Lewis, supervisor in the Department for Exceptional Children at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, was appointed Director of Human Resources by the Board of Education at its January 15 board meeting. Lewis is expected to begin her new duties on February 11.
The new director position was created as part of a restructuring of the Administration and Finance Department. Lewis will oversee the payroll and personnel offices. Her first priority as director will be to meet with staff to assess their needs.
Lewis, who lives in Alden (a suburb of Buffalo), has held various administrative positions in education. Prior to coming to BOCES four years ago, she was Principal of the Stanley G. Falk School in Buffalo, and before that she was Assistant Superintendent for Personnel at the Auburn Enlarged City School District.
Lewis has a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts at SUNY College at Buffalo, a master's degree in Human Resources Management and Development from Chapman College, and a certificate of administrative studies in Education Administration from SUNY College at Cortland. She is currently working on a doctorate in education administration from Syracuse University.
