Traveling Cabaret to give scholarships
Traveling Cabaret of Irondequoit will be awarding scholarships to college-bound high school seniors pursuing the arts upon graduation. The arts include, but are not limited to: drama, music, dance and related technical areas.
Applications will be accepted from students throughout the Greater Rochester area and surrounding communities. Awards will be determined on a talent and need basis.
Interested seniors can contact their school Guidance Department or Arts Department to obtain applications. Completed applications should be mailed, with resume and pertinent attachments, to Traveling Cabaret Scholarships, c/o Toni Wacenske, 20 Whittier Road, Rochester, NY 14624, no later than April 15, 2002. Audition appointments will be scheduled upon receipt of application.
The Traveling Cabaret, a twelve member volunteer not-for-profit community theater organization, raises money for scholarships and charities, performing song, dance and comedy musical revues, twelve months of the year throughout Monroe County and its surrounding areas. Broadway, movie and pop musical revues are performed for both public and private events. Performing since 1990, the cabaret troupe celebrated its milestone 200th performance.
