Clark scores 1,000 career point

SUNY Brockport junior Kristen Clark (Hilton) scored her 1,000 career point with 3:23 remaining in the second half of a 63-55 win over SUNY Cortland January 26.

Clark finished with her sixth double-double of the season, scoring 24 points, 20 in the second half, and grabbing 12 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles improved to 9-6, 6-2 in the SUNYAC while Cortland fell to 9-7, 6-2. Brockport and Cortland are now tied for second place in the SUNYAC standings with a 6-2 record in league play. Each team has six league games remaining.

The score was tied 32-32 at the half despite the Golden Eagles 31 percent shooting from the field in the first half.

Also scoring in double digits for the Golden Eagles were Kristen Ferington (Arcade/Pioneer) with 12 points and Lynda Ferris (Brockport) with 10.
