Cheerleaders Grand Champions The Hilton Varsity Cheerleading squad was named Grand Champions after scoring the most points in 1st place Division I Varsity Advanced Competition, in the Greater Rochester Cheerleading and Dance Championships Saturday, January 26, at the Blue Cross Arena. This year, the varsity squad has placed first and grand champions in the Niagara Festival of Lights Tournament; first in the Newark Competition; first in the Victor's Competition; and first in the Dansville competition; placed first at the University of Buffalo Dance/Cheer and the Cheer competitions. Twenty-six team members have distinguished themselves by their tumbling; strong bases and flyers; synchronization; and difficulty of the routines. The cheerleading coach is Laurie Miller, teacher at Hilton High School. |
