Orleans County American Legion
offers nursing scholarship

The Orleans County American Legion will be making a Nursing Scholarship available to an Orleans County resident who will graduate from high school in June, 2002. The recipient will be chosen by a committee comprised of a representative from each Legion Post.

The scholarship winner must be accepted into an accredited program leading to a degree in nursing. The scholarship will be awarded over a two year period, $500 each year. Applications are now available at the following school counselor's office in the following school districts: Albion, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville, and Medina.

Those wishing to apply can also contact their local American Legion Post for the Legionnaire on the Scholarship Committee. The applications must reach the appropriate committee member by Monday, April 15.
