Spencerport concert and barbecue
celebrate Music in our Schools

Spencerport's annual Music in Our Schools Month Districtwide Instrumental Concert and Chicken Dinner takes place on Thursday, March 7 from 5 to 9 p.m. All of the district's bands and jazz ensembles will perform in three locations at Cosgrove Middle School. A variety of musical styles, including pop, jazz and marches, will be featured throughout the casual evening. This popular concert is free and open to the public.

Advance reservations are recommended for the chicken dinners, which Charlie's Chicken will prepare on location. Dinners include chicken, salt potatoes, macaroni salad, beverage, roll and butter. Meal prices are: $7 for 1/2 chicken meal, $6 for 1/4 chicken meal and $4 for a no-chicken dinner. Three dinner seatings (4, 6 and 7) and take out meals are available. Seating is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis. Order forms are available in each school building and at the Ogden Farmers' Library. Dinner orders must be prepaid and received by Cosgrove Middle School music teacher Dr. Marcia Bornhurst Parkes on or before February 13. For information, call Parkes at 349-5050, ext. 6337.
