Blue Devils whitewash Saints

Seven forfeits, two pins, two technical falls and three decisions led the Brockport Blue Devils to a 76-0 sweep over Churchville-Chili in high school wrestling January 29.

Sean Riley (140 lb.) and Chris Goulet (276 lb.) won by pin with Kevin Bush (160 lb.) and Andy Kleehammer (171 lb.) taking the technical falls. Colby Fisher (119 lb.) won his match 9-1 and Todd Larnder (145 lb.) shutout his opponent 4-0. The closest match of the meet was at 189 lb. as Brockport's Dave Rogers avenged an earlier loss to the Saints Pat Emblidge and won 2-1.

The Blue Devils improved to 8-2 on the season and will compete in the Section Five Class A tournament February 15-16 at Fairport.
