Holley Wrestling Club registration, first session Feb. 25

The Holley Wrestling Club will begin on Monday, February 25 at the Holley Elementary School, for any Holley Central school district students in grades 3-8. John J. Grillo, the head wrestling coach, along with several Holley Club coaches and members of the high school team, will direct this club. The Holley Recreation Department sponsors the club.

Registration will be held on Monday, February 25, from 5:45 to 6 p.m. Students in grades 3-8 will register and practice in the Intermediate gym. All parents must attend registration to fill out the proper information needed. Registration - donation fee is $6, which includes the cost of the T-shirt and admission to the club tournament. Practice will start on Monday, February 25, immediately following registration for each group.

Grades K-2 will not take place this year due to a lack of adult coaches.

Basic wrestling techniques, drills, intra-contests, physical fitness, fun, sportsmanship, and participation will all be taught and stressed at each session. The club will meet every Monday and Tuesday evening through the month of March. Wrestling gear and wrestling items will be for sale, if anyone wishes to purchase any equipment.
