Six pins lead Kendall

Jeff Chippendale (103 lb.), James Kurstein (119 lb.), Torry Tooley (130 lb.), Rich Williams (171 lb.), David Warren (215 lb.) and Nick Carter (275 lb.) registered pins for the Kendall Eagles as they defeated Byron-Bergen 49-26 in high school wrestling January 29.

Warren's pins came in just twelve seconds with Carter (:30) and Tooley (:58) also taking less than a minute. All six pins came in the first period of the respective matches. Donald Williams (145 lb.) won his match by decision 7-1 and Casey Burchfield (152 lb.) also won a 16-7 decision for the Eagles who improved to 5-1, 12-1 for the season.

Byron-Bergen's Jason Hardenbrook won by pin in the third period after he was losing his match at 96 lb. Sam Herman (140 lb.), Brad Streeter (160 lb. ) and Kevin Kuszlyk (189 lb.) also won matches for the Bees.

The Section Five Class C tournament is being held February 15-16 t Letchworth with the State Qualifier at SUNY Brockport February 22-23.
