Eighteen members of the Western Eagles youth football teams started their 2002 season early by attending the Martin Luther King Day Football Clinic, held on January 21, at the Total Sports Experience, 880 Elmgrove Road.

The clinic was presented by Coach Mark Saunders of the Rochester Brigade along with coaching staff and team members from the Brigade. The clinic included skills stations and a touch football tournament.

The Western Eagles organization is currently looking for new members for football and cheerleading. Boys and girls between the ages 8 and 13 can register at the Clarkson Court house, Lake Road, between 10 a.m. and noon on February 23. Registration fee is $60 and a recent photo and birth certificate are required.
