Week of January 27 – February 2

January 27 - 10:25 a.m. – responded to Buffalo Road residence for a report of smoke in the basement. Smoke caused from minor chimney fire. Assignment handled by one ladder, four engines (including one from Chili), one rescue and 54 firefighters. Buffalo Road had to be closed for about 30 minutes. All equipment picked up and back in service at 11:13 a.m.

6:03 p.m. – responded to Martha Street for a motorcycle accident. Male suffered a shoulder injury.

January 28 - 1:45 p.m. – responded to Scenic Circle for a report of smoke in the structure. One engine responded to find a pot and food left on stove. Resident checked by ambulance crew for smoke inhalation.

5:39 p.m. – one engine responded to West Ridge Road to investigate a tractor trailer that struck a utility pole. No hazard found; turned over to the deputies.

January 30 - 11:55 a.m. – one engine and rescue responded to Route 104 and Trimmer for MVA. One minor injury transported. Removed hazards; turned over to deputies.

January 31 - 9:38 a.m. – one engine and rescue responded to Rt. 31 and Washington for MVA. Two injuries; utility pole damaged.

5:41 p.m.- one rescue and two engines responded to Rt. 104, for MVA with two injuries, one person trapped. All equipment back in service at 6:27 p.m.

Due to storm, responded to 10 calls for wires down and one call for a tree on a house

February 1 - 2:13 a.m. - one engine and rescue responded to residence on Gillett Road for odor of smoke in structure. Investigation revealed problem with wood burning stove.

7:57 am. – Mutual aid: one ladder and engine to Brockport for a structure fire with people trapped.

Due to storm, responded to nine calls for wires down

February 2 - 11:05 p.m. – responded for a report of a field fire on Vroom Road. Found a recreational fire.

In addition to the above, SFD responded to one MVA, one carbon monoxide detector activated, two water problems, five automatic fire alarms, 10 EMS (emergency medical service) calls.
