Brockport Wegmans Department Heads
contribute to search and rescue group
After the attack on the United States on September 11, 2001, the department heads at Brockport Wegmans decided to donate the money set aside for their Family Christmas Party. They wanted to donate the funds to an organization that supported the country during this tragedy. It was decided that the Massasauga Search and Rescue Team would be the ideal organization to receive this money. Massasauga Search and Rescue is a local, volunteer organization. They are ready at a moment's notice to assist in any manner with their personal training and their search and rescue trained dogs and horses. Three members of this team went to New York City and assisted in the recovery process at the World Trade Center. What also made this an ideal organization to donate to is that Keith Weinert, one of the team members, is also a long time Wegmans employee.
Six members of Massasauga Search and Rescue Team came to Wegmans Brockport to express their appreciation for this support.
