Monroe County Planning Board schedules meetings
The Monroe County Planning Board will hold information meetings on the county's proposed Capital Improvement Program for 2003-2008. A summary of the proposed Monroe County Capital Improvement Program will be available at the meetings. The schedule of meetings, which all government officials and the general public are invited to attend, is as follows: Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. in the Chili Town Hall, Room 202, 3333 Chili Avenue, and Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in the City of Rochester Council Chambers, Room 302A, 30 Church Street, Rochester.
Each meeting will cover the same material. The three major purposes for holding these information meetings are to give local government officials and interested citizens an opportunity to know what capital projects the county proposes to build over the next six years; to get reactions and comments as to how the projects relate to community and neighborhood plans, programs, and priorities; and to learn of additional needs that are not addressed by the proposed CIP. Comments received at these information meetings will be taken into account by the Planning Board in formulating its written recommendations to the County Executive and the County Legislature on the projects contained in the proposed six-year CIP and their priority.
Copies of the summary of the proposed CIP will be available at the meetings and will be available in public libraries. The summary report and complete CIP document will be viewable on the web at www.co.monroe.ny.us/aboutmc, under the heading "2003-2008 Capital Improvement Program."
