Upcoming programs at Riga Recreation

Riga Recreation offers the following upcoming programs for spring 2002.

  • Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m. to noon. The Egg Hunt for ages 0 to 4 years will be at 10:45 a.m.; the Egg Hunt for ages 5 to 7 years will be at 11 a.m. Free.
  • Gymnastics Fun Day - Wednesday, April 17, 10 a.m. to noon at Bright Raven Gymnastics in Gates. Boys and girls, ages 5 to 12 years, will be given gymnastics instruction, the ability to use different apparatus such as balance beam, bars, trampoline and giant inflatable slide and tunnel. Pizza included. $18 per child. April 1 registration deadline.
  • Creative Kids Art Programs - Several different programs will be offered; all in the Upstairs Meeting Room at the Riga Town Hall: Preschool/Multimedia - Thursdays, April 25-May 23, 10 to 11 a.m., $25 per child - ages 3 to 5 years. School Aged/Clay Projects - Tuesdays, April 23-May 21, 6:30 to 8 p.m., $35 per child - ages 6-12 years. School Aged/Clay Projects - Saturdays, April 27-May 25, 10 to 11:30 a.m., $35 per child - ages 6 to 12 years. School Aged/Fine Arts Drawing - Thursdays, April 25-May 23, 6:30 to 8 p.m. $30 per child. All supplies and materials are included in the registration fee for each class.
  • Riga Summer Camp 2002 - Two sessions will again be offered. Session I will be held June 26-July 19 (excluding July 4 & 5) and Session II will be held July 22-August 9; available to children currently in grades K-6. Half Day sessions (9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.) will be $75/Town of Riga residents; $100/non-Town residents. Full Days sessions (7 a.m.-6 p.m.) will be $180/Town of Riga residents; $200/non-Town residents - these fees are per session/per child. Camp will include interest centers, sports, group games, crafts, field trips and other activities. Camp will again be held at Churchville Elementary School; post-camp will be at the Buffalo Road pavilion. Registration packets will be available soon at the Riga Town Hall.
