Youth invited to Monroe County open house

The Rochester Monroe County Youth Bureau is inviting young people, ages 13 to 20, to learn about the Youth Participation Project (YPP) by attending an Open House on Tuesday, March 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 50 West Main Street, Fourth Floor CityPlace. This event will offer an opportunity for youth to visit the Youth Bureau and learn more about this youth led group that empowers young people to become leaders.

The YPP identifies and develops opportunities for youth to participate in youth policy decision-making at local, county and state levels. Member youth train other youth in leadership development, solution-focused problem solving, youth involvement and youth philanthropy. Youth also facilitate the development of youth-adult partnerships, youth councils and youth led community service opportunities.
