Rocks grow big in Ogden
Dan Morin, manager of Maxim Construction, stands behind one of the many huge boulders found during construction of a water line on Vroom Road in southern Ogden. He estimated the one below to be four cubic yards in size. The 9,600 feet water line project, which will bring long-anticipated public water to an area of the town plagued with water wells that frequently run dry, should take about six weeks to complete. Many residents have already had their service lines installed so they can connect to the system as soon as the project is approved and accepted by the Monroe County Water Authority. Ogden Highway Superintendent Dave Widger says everything has progressed well with the work, aided by a mild winter season. Town crews will do landscape work when the project is done.
