Library holds second genealogy Sunday program
The Ogden Farmers' Library will hold a special Genealogy program on Sunday, April 7 from noon to 4 p.m. The library will be open especially for people who are interested in genealogy and local history research. Patrick Weissand from the Holland Land Office Museum in Batavia will speak at 2 p.m. He will discuss the Holland Purchase, land record information for genealogists, records preservation and other topics.
Library staff and members of the Western Monroe Genealogical Society will be on hand to help visitors find materials and become familiar with the many research tools available in the library. Registration is not required; call 352-2141 for more information or directions.
This is the second Genealogy Sunday held at the Ogden Farmers' Library this year. This first, on January 27, drew more than 75 people to the library to hear speakers and research family history.
