Spencerport community
groundbreaking ceremony April 6
The Spencerport School District will break ground on the $46.9 million building project on Saturday, April 6 in a community ceremony. All community members are invited to attend. The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. at the west cafeteria of Spencerport High School, where residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the project.
The cornerstone of the project, which voters approved in 2000, is the construction of a new elementary school. The project also includes a new auditorium, new classrooms and a technology suite at the high school. A new wing at Cosgrove Middle School will provide room for all sixth-graders to attend school there.
The project also includes a multi-purpose field with an all-weather track on the main campus. The soccer stadium and tennis courts will be renovated, and there will be improved spectator parking.
