Second Annual Spencerport High School
Career Day declared a success
Nearly 100 guest speakers from more than 70 organizations and companies volunteered their time to make Spencerport High School's Second Annual Career Day a success. Local television personalities, imaging specialists, entrepreneurs and public officials were among the visitors to the school on March 13. The goal of this event is to reinforce the concept of relevance for students.
During the lunch period, students visited with representatives of 22 colleges, military organizations and businesses who provided first-hand knowledge of what students need to move into their career choices.
Assistant Principal Dan Milgate said overall students see Career Day as a valuable opportunity. The faculty and guest speakers also see the day as a valuable educational opportunity.
